Huge crisis in EXO fandom today as Kris wants to leave the group and sue SM a la Hangeng.

My initial reaction was 'can you do this after the concert?'. EXO's first ever solo concert is coming up in mere days now and we're hit by this news. But the truth is, there never is the right time to do this. No matter when it is, there will be a huge blow. The fandom is massive. EXO is now one of the top groups in the K-Pop world right now and there is no chance that this won't blow up.

I know there are a lot of considerations to make; there's that slave contract, there's a group with 11 other members who all had been working their asses off, there are years of hard work, not to mention the fame they gain from working for the company. BUT. I do think a person is the only one who could make decisions for themselves.

We've always heard people say "If you don't like where you are, move. You are not a tree." Or other similar sayings about seeking your own happiness. I respect the decision, and I myself had experienced working a job I hate/doing things that are not for me and during the time it felt very, very drowning and depressing. If Kris isn't happy and wants to leave, then ... I wish he finds happiness and success in ways that he can enjoy.

Several Things ...

I just got back from Lombok on Wed, and it was pretty exhausting. When I was in Lombok I got a good news from the publishing company I applied to a month ago. They accepted me to work as their freelance translator and I'll be able to earn extra income aside from my main job (which I hate). They'll send me a copy of one comic book soon as a beginning. Which was ... yay! I enjoy translating comic books and I'm happy to be back as a comic book translator.

On other news, ... JPG did another couture show in Paris this week and of course, androgyny poster boy/JPG muse Andrej was there. The collection as a whole is stunning though I don't really like the ones Andrej wore or how they styled him. ... Paul Boche was also there which I approve. Lately I just realized that I ship Andrej/anyone. Maybe it's because I've longed for a new ship to sail.

So I shouldn't be writing this but here I am.

Like what I wrote on my last entry, I made my first tumblr graphics in a long time yesterday. I must say despite the fact that I haven't done any graphics for a while, my computer broke down, and I only had a couple hours to finish the entry, I am pretty satisfied and proud with the result. Granted, it could be better given a couple more days, but that was a luxury that I didn't have. I hope next time/challenge I can do better. Here it isss :

You know, I'd rather you crown Phi Phi and watch the rage that is ensued. The drama and the horror would be delicious. It'll be fun to count how many people will boycott Absolut and wouldn't be back to watch next season. It will be the biggest backlash ever that I would not mind to witness.

I'd rather you skip the rewind episode and add a non-elimination round a few episodes back.

Anything that keeps the finale - a real grand finale episode and not just a bullshit top three filler episode. With or without it, people's opinion on your top three wouldn't change much. Sharon is still the most popular one, Chad is still the most polished, and Phi Phi is still the stank bitch that everyone hates. And most importantly, probably it won't change how you feel about them either. You choose a winner, whether it's a popular opinion or not, whether the queen of your choice is a universally hated bitch or not, whether the fans of the show screams in disagreement or not in the end. It's always been your choice, and will always be. So what the fuck is the fucking point of making the fans wait for another week to find out the winner? Rating? Social media buzz? Seriously you did more harm to your own show than when you crown Tyra Sanchez as the winner of season 2.

Since weeks ago, every time I turn on any channel on Fox network, I am bombarded by promo clips of 'Touch'. The promo emphasized that this is a 'global premier' and that the creator was 'from the creators of Heroes'.

Oh right, Heroes. That TV Show that went down the drain after season 1.

I didn't give a damn about this TV show, and if you see the condition of our TV, you wouldn't want to watch anything on it. But my sister seemed to be invested in the show, proving that repeated advertisements do wonder, and that Heroes creator Tim Kring does still have a name.

As announced everywhere, RuPaul's Drag Race is coming back this fall with a 6 episodes long All Stars version, including some of the 46 past (and current) contestants from the show.

Aside from producers' choices, there will be one spot for fan favorite queen, and fans are encouraged to vote. They can vote on facebook once every 24 hours. These are top voted queens as of now :


I think I've voted for Pandora, Raven, Raja and Sharon but to be honest I love them all, I can't choose!

Looking back at my graphics life, I don't really remember how I got here. I do remember making stupid banners for my blog, designing a layout for my multiply page and doing manips of celebs. I vaguely remember editing pics for my blog entries but honestly, I don't know what I do before icons, it was such an eye opening experience.

I didn't really 'get' icon posts back then. I thought if people want icons, they can make it themselves, no big deal. I know I would make my own icons. At that time I was not in any particular fandom and was obscure to what purpose does a community on LJ serve.

Wow, it's ep 6 already! Yet I can't wait til next week when Jiggly is out. She's next, right?

Now this, is an episode I like better. They show us when Ru gave them the essignment, we saw them working on it and they told us the concept of what they're making! Though, you know, they still didn't have enough time to show Ru talking to all the queens.

The mini challenge was fun ... I guess. It was weird watching the queens shaking their blurred boobs while the half naked pit crews pour water on them. Actually, I don't really have any problems watching if my dad hadn't been standing behind me when I was watching it.

Hmmm where do I begin? First of all, I'm thankful about several things :
1) I'm not as obsessed as I was before.
2) a download link was there when I got home from work so I didn't have to wait for 3 days.
3) even if there was no download link, I already prepared myself with Ultrasurf, which allowed me to watch videos that are blocked in my country.
4) That the girls over at fysn are all over-eager in doing their job so I don't have to feel guilty for not posting (I'll make gifs today).
5) ... that Kenya Michaels is gone so I don't have to facepalm all my way through her airtime in another episode.
6) That Sharon is back on the game

Okay now here's a more elaborated thought on the episode. Snatch game was a mess. I know it's one of the most popular thing on the show that people has been waiting for, but looking at these busted queens with lack of talent .... I only can nod in agreement when people say no Snatch Game could beat the first one (in season 2).

Aaand with this, I'm officially done with landofart. I don't know what the owner is going to do about the community, since she seems like losing interest in continuing it and had moved on to another obsession. It's a shame, really. It was fun, active, full of creative ideas that prompts you to make more things, better things, and with techniques or subjects you've never thought of before. It was fun while it lasted :/

This is a decision that I *might* regret later on. Not because it's a bad one, but because I know, this decision might lead me to something I can't control. I can only hope I wouldn't be crazy obsessed about it. Yesterday, I've offered my help for one of Sharon Needles fan blogs on tumblr, fuck-yeahsharonneedles. There are a lot of fan blogs of hers, but this is the one I've been following. Plus, looking at the page they already have 4 people as their group members, which means there is a big possibility that they'll let me in, rather than if I apply to help to a one man blog. So I observe the blog to check who is in charge amongst the 4 of them, whom I could message to beg to join? Hmm. I decided to send a message to a girl who seemed to post the most. She has no problem with me joining, and a couple hours later ... I was in.

I actually have some advices to these kids though. I'm a fuck yeah blog veteran so I know my way around it.

Yesterday I was re-visiting my old blog(s). Some of the entries are so much fun to read I was seriously considering to import my blog content from LJ to DW.

(2) Help! I might be obsessed with Sharon Needles!
I started watching season 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race without any expectation. I didn't try to find out who the contestants are beforehand, I didn't try to remember when the show will premier, I wasn't even sure if I'm going to watch it. Either I think that this season might be shitty, or IDK I was scared that I'm going to be overly obsessed about it just like last year.

ps. I had a dream last night that Andrej was a guest star in one of RPDR episode, weird crossover! (that I 100% approve). It was weird, Andrej was standing (modelling?) in front of a green/turquoise glittery background, he was pretty, his hair was pretty and was not very long. At first I thought we got a new video of his photoshoot or something but then it was revealed that he was a guest star for RPDR and there are RPDR contestants cheering at him.

I finished my set!!!! I didn't drop out! I'm officially keeping my words, only signing up to a challenge when I know I'm going to finish it.

Yesterday I was still high on Gaultier Couture, and I went to hunt EVERY PICTURE OF ANDREJ from the event that are available on the internet. As I was saving my pics, I made a folder in my computer and I named it 'Thailand' simply because I think Andrej's look reminded me of Thailand - the accesories, the golds, and the color scheme in general. I would personally believe that this is inspired by Thailand more than Amy Winehouse, lol.

I have signed up with Andrej for both model20in20 and obsession20in20 and I wasn't sure I will be able to finish, but hopefully I can with all the new pics :) One more, the 20in20 challenge in therainbowtree is VERY tempting. We don't even need to sign up, we just need to post. I have made a set of category icons, but I really should finish the first two first since they have earlier deadlines.

Okay, not that one. But I just got asked a question I've never thought I'd hate to answer.

I wasn't a fan of Dexter, not because I don't like it, I just don't get into a tv show that easily. Two years ago (or three?) Tommy tweeted about Dexter quite a lot, and people around me were responding to it, made me feel left out for never even seen one episode of Dexter.

So I went and download the first season, I tried to watch it but ... I just couldn't get into it. I don't think it's the blood, I can take blood, but the overall atmosphere of the show and the darkness of Dexter's heart doesn't compel me to want to know more at that time. Or you know, I just wasn't in the right mood when I watched it.

I've never done anything related to Dexter again until about three days ago, I was switching TV channels and somehow stopped on FOX Crime. And I continue watching as they showed me "Dexter Season 6 premier in Asia". Premier my ass. It was from the middle of the season, and they showed me two episodes in a row. I got hooked because damn they haven't gotten to catch the bad guy, and I HAD TO KNOW. I downloaded the next episode, and the next one after that, wanting to know how the case ends, but yeah. Of course. They won't end it til the end of the season, so I downloaded the rest of the episodes and guess what? THEY GAVE ME A CLIFFHANGER ENDING STILL! GAAAAHHHHH which makes me question; when will the next season starts and WHY THE HELL DID I START WATCHING THIS???

Or not really, no. There are currently 5 people left in Last Picspam Standing challenge, and surprisingly I am one of them. It's quite a stressful challenge, I must say, because every week we are given a prompt and a week to make a picspam. The picspam has to be creative, interesting and attract people to vote for yours. As I stayed every week and the competitors are getting lesser and lesser, it is getting pretty intense.

Last week, when I half-heartedly submitted my picspam, I was ready to get kicked out. I just wasn't sure of my picspam. I like it and I tried hard, but it's not something I was particularly proud and satisfied of. I was dreading to make it for days. Unlike other weeks that have technical theme, this time the theme was : emotion. As a person with a very small range of fandom, it was a challenge. I went home to finish and submit it but my internet connection was down. I was tired and suffering from lack of sleep, so I went to bed SUPER early, and woke up at about 2 am to finish the picspam. All I could think of at that time was I just want to get this over with.

Turns out? It was the second most voted picspam for this week. Now I only need to dread and worry about one more entry before the competition ends next week and I'm going to be free of it.

Ramble is my middle name so I'll start with letting you know (if you don't already) that I am kind of obsessed with a landcomm called landofart @ LJ. And if you don't know what a landcomm is, it's like a team community with activities that center around graphics-making. These kind of sorting hat communities usually have themes or genre like tvrealm is around any tv shows, fantasyverse is around fantasy themed movies and tv, or something more specific like hogwartsishome which activities are all Harry Potter related. Land of art is a more ... general one. Members could make graphics on any subject, fandom or stock, as long as it fits the theme or challenge requirement.
