Okay, not that one. But I just got asked a question I've never thought I'd hate to answer.

Right before 4 pm (which is when my working hours end) today my colleague at work suddenly asked "... you always go home so fast, what do you usually do at home?".
And I'm like "............ a lot of different .... things".
He laughed and asked again, "like what?".
I was trying to get away from the conversation like woah and I said "Well, my house is far from here, if I don't get off work til 5 or 6, it'll take 2 hours to get home, so, going home at 4 pm right away is the best choice.". Also, I'm being paid with not even half of your salary so you better shut up and if my working hours are shorter than yours, so what?
He said "Oh I see. Yeah you're right. And what's the normal working hours in this city?"
"Well, normal working hours is 9 to 5, and the local staff in our office works from 8 to 4, so the streets are less crowded because other people aren't finished with their work yet."
Then we got silent for a while before he said "so what do you do when you got home?". I really don't want to answer so I just laughed. He started guessing.
"Play badminton?"
"What? Why would I do that?"
"I don't know, but it's still bright when you got home, right?"
"Yes, but who would I play badminton with?"
"I don't know, alone?"
"Alone? Nah, I used to play badminton with my sister when we were little. She always comes home late lately so it's impossible."
"So what do you do, do you prepare dinner?"
"Dinner?" I TOTALLY SOUNDED LIKE SOMEONE WHO NEVER HEARD THE WORD DINNER OMG. "Umm ..."
"You don't prepare dinner?"
"No, not really, we have a housemaid who does everything for us, actually."
"Oh right, that's common here. So you don't do chores?"
"Not really, no. I mean I do but not everything."
"So what do you do?" OMG BACK TO THIS FRIGGIN QUESTION.
"What do you do when you get home after work? Let me guess, beer?"
"Yes, lots of beer while I do my other work for this company in Japan. Like, we talk through Skype, something like that."
"What kind of beer do you drink?"
"Well I drink Bintang, but others are fine, too."
"Hmmm."
"SO WHAT DO YOU DO AFTER WORK?" OMG I THOUGHT HE HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS, WAS I NOT GOOD IN CHANGING CONVERSATION TOPICS AND DISTRACT YOU FROM YOUR ORIGINAL QUESTION THAT I DON'T WANT TO ANSWER?
"Well, I do my other work, too, actually." Yeah, I copied his answer.
"Oh really? And what is that?"
"You know, translations, book editing, and stuff." Or not really.
"Oh, that explains why you're so good in translating. What kind of books?" Maybe, but that's mostly because my major is literature.
"Mm, different kind of books, but in the past I used to translate mangas."
"Woah!"
"Yeah, it was a lot of fun." At this point I was so relieved that he buys it. "But there are certainly some phrases that can't be translated because we don't have the same expressions."
"How bout onomatopoeia? Japan has lots of those."
"Oh, it's really tough. When I apply for this translator position, they gave me a test. They gave me Shojo Manga, Shonen Manga, and a more general one. Shojo manga don't have a lot, but Shonen Manga is full of onomatopoeia and mimesis. And the interviewer said I wasn't very good at translating that." I laughed.
"Is the interviewer a Japanese?"
"No, but they certainly has been around manga translation world so they would know what's best."

ANYWAY.

My time at home is my time online. And I really don't want RL people around me to know about my online life, or what I do when I get home gaaaah. Or maybe I could just answer "I actively participate in online graphical challenges and I fully show my support for gays and pretty boys online, including a guitarist for an American Idol runner-up and an androgynous transgender model. I discuss about styles of icons with my icon making friends, and about site improvements with my other group of friends. I actively suggest challenges for a land community that I help mod, and I still maintain a gallery site that I created two years ago for a musician. My time is usually spent on these sites; LiveJournal, Twitter, Tumblr and YouTube. And when I'm not on them, I'm usually messing around with pics on my photoshop, or watching movies that I downloaded. There. Now you know everything."

...

After thinking about it again, no wonder my mom told me I'm useless, I never do anything to help her at home, I am useless. *major OTL*
