Several Things ...

I just got back from Lombok on Wed, and it was pretty exhausting. When I was in Lombok I got a good news from the publishing company I applied to a month ago. They accepted me to work as their freelance translator and I'll be able to earn extra income aside from my main job (which I hate). They'll send me a copy of one comic book soon as a beginning. Which was ... yay! I enjoy translating comic books and I'm happy to be back as a comic book translator.

As for my online life, I'm still struggling to keep up with things. tjr_pics is not that busy since Adam is currently touring with Queen and Tommy stayed in the US, so that one is good (except the fact that I haven't done a thing to add moved pics on the new PB ... fail). After dropping out of landofart and no longer active in graphics making in general, I kinda want to find my muse and get back out there but I haven't been feeling it. I joined thefandomzoo which is full of fun prompts and challenges but again, having not enough time for everything, I failed to keep up. I haven't submitted anything but one challenge since I joined. Similarly, I haven't participated in any but one challenge at roughntumblr. I also promised to be more active at other icon comms like createandshine and elite_four or even inspired365 but again ... I failed. I just signed up for tjrbigbang yesterday and I couldn't help but wonder if it's a bad decision I'm going to regret later.

On other news, ... JPG did another couture show in Paris this week and of course, androgyny poster boy/JPG muse Andrej was there. The collection as a whole is stunning though I don't really like the ones Andrej wore or how they styled him. ... Paul Boche was also there which I approve. Lately I just realized that I ship Andrej/anyone. Maybe it's because I've longed for a new ship to sail.

Related to shipping, I love looking at ships and I do think it's fun but it's really really hard to engage in activities more than just looking. If I don't ship it hard enough, I just can not put a lot of efforts into graphics, and I can not read fanfics about that ship especially the ones rated NC-17. Now that fact plus the thing about signing up for tjrbigbang doesn't really go together and I wish that I got familiar pairing to work on.

More on shipping, one of the currently opened challenges at thefandomzoo is called 'Bad Romance'. It's a challenge dedicated to crack ships, non-con, crossover, rare and unlikely pairings. My team is doing very poorly on the race so I really want to help boost the point by participating in more challenges but fuck these challenges are hard! .. or I am too picky. One is about making a book which supposed to be written by a tv character that we choose. And in the next step of the challenge, we'll be making covers of these books. BUT ... BUT I DON'T READ BOOKS. The only other open challenge is the Bad Romance and I don't know whom to ship. I DON'T DO CRACK SHIP. WHY THO. I remember that one time when I HAD to make ship entries for landofart and I didn't want to make anything Adam/Tommy so I struggled to find anyone to ship with Andrej. It was painful. At the end I ship him with David Chiang (it was FRIENDship, they're totally BFFs). The result was okay, I liked it but the process almost drove me nuts. And now crack ships? Unlikely pairings? Gaaah. I don't do crossover, my fandom is mostly RPF, I don't write fics, I don't do caps, so how on earth would I be able to accomplish this?

So I thought of shipping Andrej with other people, but I can not find the ship as any of the category above (crack ships, non-con, crossover, rare and unlikely pairings). Try to see Adam/Andrej, Tommy/Andrej, Bill/Andrej, David/Andrej, Paul Boche/Andrej ... none of them are unlikely pairings. Some of them are rare, yes, but there are people shipping them which makes them normal/conventional ships. Maybe a Tommy/Andrej spam would do but there's something about this ship that I don't want to support the idea of. One of them being, Tommy is too short for Andrej. And the fact that there is 10 years difference (no offense to any couple whose ages are separated). And the main reason being, the nature of their pics are totally different. It makes it hard to combine them and do a cohesive spam. I need someone with a good stock of professional photoshoots.

And so I began to think. Nathan from Misfits. He's always my next subject when I ran out of ideas with my favorites. When trying to search for Robert Sheehan's pics, I thought the name kind of sounds like he is of Middle Eastern descent. And idea came to me to ship him with Zayn Malik which almost instantly followed by a 'NOOOOOOOO' coming from inside of me. I. Just. Can. Not. I CAN NOT! And then I switch to Paul Boche. How bout Robert Sheehan/Paul Boche??? I think I could go behind this idea! It was relieving to finally found a pairing that I could work on *wipes sweat*. Yeah, now I know what I'm going to do with my weekend.
