I have more notes here than on the happy parts, so I thought I'd separate them so I can choose to relish the happy moments only in the future, and look back to the bad parts when I feel like I need to?
A lot of thoughts were in my mind during the whole show. Like how they are presenting us with A SHOW but then also how most of the show is purely fan service. Don't get me wrong, the show was great. I just had a realization of differences between concert concept of an idol (group) with a... let's say singing talent/established artists?
And I thought of how hard idol life is. When they said they miss us all the time and want to meet us again in the future, I wonder... what they're actually feeling when they say that. Call me skeptical, but it was the 17th show of their tour. I wonder if they say this in every city, trying to please the fans even though in their hearts, they just want to sleep.
They were already back at the airport again right after the show. No rest for them. Jakarta is the farthest destination of all scheduled TLP shows, an 8 hours flight from Seoul. And the management would rather the kids sleep on the plane and arrive in Seoul in the morning than in a hotel in Jakarta and spent the whole day next day flying.
To be honest with you, even though I was really excited about this concert, I don't know if it's worth it. Not the show, but the experience as a whole. It was the WORST VENUE ever. EVER. They only have one fucking gate for the whole 14,000 people to get in. How is this making any sense? How? The line was incredibly long even hours before the gates were open, and there were no official line, rope or anything, no security to get people lining, no nothing but a bunch of pushy crowds trying to make their way inside. It was on the sidewalk with trees and poles and rocks and the crowd was so pushy we barely could see what we're stepping on. I was standing in line for more than two hours, with too many annoying teens who talks loudly. And when I was inside, I was swayed by other concert goers as the performances took different stages and people were running in all direction all the time. I couldn't see them most of the time because I was in the front pit, that was the most expensive spot and I still couldn't see shit, even the screen! Also, fansite noonas are crazy! I was pushed rudely and told off by them. Many of them are big, with big cameras and little chair thingy that they brought, and are totally not afraid to tell people off. Now I love fansite pics and their dedication for their idols, but I'd probably choose not to be around them if I had known. Getting out of the venue was a big DISASTER. Also, it was raining in the middle of the show.
Things I would change if I ever going to similar concerts :
- If there's a fast track for festival tickets, I would definitely buy it
- If there are SEATS, I definitely would choose it than standing
- If I had known the venue was this one again, I won't come
- I should probably go to Singapore for their concert next time (or Seoul? not likely though haha)
On a sadder note that breaks my heart... What is going on with Lulu? He flown from Jakarta alone from Guangzhou, and now he is flying alone again to somewhere we don't know. The circles around his eyes is worsening, and I hate not knowing what they're up to. If it's a movie filming, or a casting or something work related, I would cheer for them and support them fully. But this time he's not accompanied by his manager, which makes me wonder if this is a personal trip? Is he sick? Is his family sick? Or is it just simply a rare day off in a very busy idol life? I really hope someone would explain because my heart is breaking. My baby (;____;)
