2014 Japan Travelogue : Day 7
We supposed to be going with a 8.10 bus but we were already running late when my brother asked me where the tickets are and I realized I left them on the table at the hotel. Stupid! My brother made a quick run to the hotel, and still that couldn't help us to make it. It was 8.20 when we arrived at Shinjuku and the bus already left. I felt bad for my sister and brother, it was a stupid mistake. We got into the next available bus which was at 10.10. We got to Fujikyu at 11.30 and we immediately queue for Fujiyama, which was the best roller coaster there.

And guess what? When we were at the very front of the line, rain came pouring in and all the rides were stopped. Dang it! It was raining for such a long time, the temperature dropped severely so we decided to leave the queue to get some food and warmth. We ate at the food court and stayed there for a while. We only had one umbrella and our jackets weren't thick enough to make us stay warm outside. It was a pity. My brother looked outside the window and said "is there any chance (that the rain will stop)?". Poor kid, he was so excited coming to the park. The rain lasted for about two hours, trapping the visitors in restaurants and some in the queues. We went to Evangelion museum(?) which we did not enjoy for one bit because we don't watch the anime, hence everything there did not mean anything for us.

When we went out, the rides were starting again, so we immediately queue for Fujiyama again. Even though I had ride this thing for several times in the past, I was still SCARED as hell. WHAT IF IT BROKE? The ride was so long it felt endless. But awesome. My brother and sister ran to Takabisha queue and it was so long I'm not sure we could make it. In the end they queued for Dodonpa and I decided that I'd just walk the park because I've been on Dodonpa before and I didn't have good memories of riding it. I found the picture perfect spot and Mount Fuji could be seen crystal clear from there. I waited for my brother and sister in front of Fujiyama, and when they came, I had to tell them that queues for most of the rides are closed because there's only 30 minutes left until the park closes, and the lines were already longer than that.

So I took them to the hill to take pictures, it was awesome.

I went to walk around with them as well, before joining the crowd who were trying to get out of the area because the park was closing. The souvenir shop was crazy. I don't think it was possible to buy anything because the lines were so long. I wanted to buy some panoramic postcards of Fuji (T___T).

We went back to Shinjuku, and then we walked to Tokyu Hands which is inside Takashimaya Square. The store was soooo much fun to explore we ended up staying too long until the store almost closes. We haven't got dinner, so I went to my first plan to go to Kappa Sushi which is located in a place 20 minutes walk from our hotel area. It was a nice walk in the neighborhood, the Sushi place was still open and the place is HUGE (and cheap!). We had some sushi, udons, chawan mushi and other stuff. From there we went home.
