2014 Japan Travelogue : Day 3
Today was the third day of our Japan trip. We left the hotel pretty early in the morning after we grabbed some onigiris from nearby supermarket for breakfast. After that, we went to Ochanomizu because my sister wanted to see Ochanomizu guitar street and she also wanted to buy some guitar accessories.

We walked to Akihabara soon after, and we met with my friend Dina then. After taking some photos and lunch, we went to Yodobashi, which is like a mall of its own and it's full of interesting stuff. My sister and brother bought some souvenirs for their friends and I bought a Doraemon shape postcard.

After exploring Akihabara, we traveled by train to Tokyo station. It was my first time seeing it after its long renovation which was finished in 2012. It was grand and massive, so many people were taking pictures in the front of it, foreign and domestic tourists alike. On the right side of the building, was Tokyo Central Post Office!! Inside a mall (?) named Kitte (stamp)! I enthusiastically entered there and spent a significant amount of time choosing stamps and postcards.

We walked to Tokyo International Forum on our way to Imperial Palace, because it was said to be a good destination for architecture photography. And then Imperial Palace. This is actually my least favorite place to visit. There is NOTHING interesting to see and it always feels like we'll be walking for eternity. After that we walked back to Tokyo station and saw some character goods in the basement. So many cute characters and especially the Shonen Jump store was so crowded we couldn't get in. Dina went home after, and we continued our trip to Odaiba. Later, we found out that it was a bad decision because our feet felt like they're going to fall out from walking the whole day. And Odaiba is a place which requires A LOT of walking.

In Odaiba, we first visited Fuji Television building which has One Piece Restaurant in it. The wind was so strong!! It was so cold and I didn't have anything with me but a shirt and a loose sweater with a lot of holes on it. After that, we walked to fake Liberty statue and took photos of night view of rainbow bridge and got inside Aqua for a bit. And then, we walked again for the Gundam sculpture at Waterfront, which was the opposite side of the Liberty. Our feet were hurting like crazy we decided to sat down near the statue. We were lucky because that was when they played the show with lights and projections and some smokes. I'm not into robots, but it was interesting.

After that, we walked to the Giant Ferris wheel which is located at Pallette Town, after Venus Fort. Me and my sister walked in our socks because our feet hurt so much! We walked through Venus Fort just for fun, and then got in line for the Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel itself was a ripoff, the ride was quick, the view was so-so, and we couldn't take good photos from inside it because the glass were dirty. We tried playing UFO catcher and felt stupid about it. And we finally went home at around 10 with great pain on our feet.
