I had a great Eid break and still has tomorrow off til I'm stuck on my chair at the boring office again. Eid was ... fine, a bit busy since we have relatives coming to our house instead of my aunt like usual because she was ill. Having a lot of people coming to your house is not pleasant. I mean, yeah, other than my social anxiety, the mess after was almost traumatizing. If there were just us kids and not my mom, we'd go to bed and sleep til noon and woke up to the same mess as it was the night before. But since my mom has OCD, of course we did not. I woke up to no trace of any party at my house.

NOW LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO MY NEW OBSESSION :


This is Eunhyuk (pronounced like un-yuk) from KPop boyband Super Junior. I know, I know, I am so late in the game it's not even funny. I never tried to get into KPop, the language was one of the reason, I guess. I was too lazy to dwell into other culture and language to enjoy the trend. I JUST CAN NOT NOT UNDERSTAND THINGSSS.

My first encounter with KPop was from Poreotics' random vlog in which Law was dancing to a song that immediately stuck on my head. It was 4 Minute's Hot Issue, very easy listening, catchy tunes with repeated mixed English words that stuck in your head even when you don't have the slightest idea of what they're singing about.

I was starting to listen to Super Junior because of Chonny - a YouTuber - who did a parody of their Sorry Sorry video. That made me check the original, obviously and I have to admit, I was laughing at them when I saw the videoclip for the first time because it's just so ... funny. Tacky-weird dance moves, extravagant hairstyles, douchebag poses, catchy song that doesn't really have any melody or lyrics, all these stereotypical boyband bullshit that I was not willing to buy at that time.

Well I did finally realize how wrong I was a couple of years later, witnessing how South Korea kicks every other country's butt and how serious their idol industry is. They are taking over the world by the storm.

Anyway, enough of all that, let us get to know our new obsession that is Super Junior! This group consists of a lot of members it's almost impossible to remember them all. Whenever I tried, they changed their hairstyle and I lost track of who they are again. Let's go through them! Starting from my favorite member of course!

Eunhyuk

Eunhyuk is soooo cool! Granted, for some people he's not the prettiest member of the group, nor the one with the best voice, but no one can deny his dancing ability. He is sooo cool! GUH UGH. Watch this MV, he's so captivating in it! (He's the super blond one)

GUH. Look at that move, that face, that jawline! I can't get over the fact of how cool he is. But again, he's not always look attractive in pics, ha. Anyway, Eunhyuk. He also has nice abs. Oh and in Midnight Beast's words, he's the token rapper guy of this boyband, lololol.

Since I've wasted my time trying to remember all of them, let's go through other members.

Ryeowook (I still don't know how to pronounce his name)

Ryeowook is really cute. He's tiny and pretty, the type that people would imagine bottoming in fics. Just those tiny eyes, tiny nose and tiny mouth. Also, he looks gay. Not saying that the others don't, they do, but my gaydar is blinking super fast whenever I see him. Ryeowook is one of the best vocalists in SuJu, his voice is distinct and strong. His dancing is good, too. Also, DAT CHEEKBONE AND JAWLINE.

Kyuhyun

Kyuhyun is cute, looks very calm and sweet. There's this light feeling in his voice.

Sungmin

I always get him mixed with Ryeowook. He's cute. Nice voice, too.

Donghae

Now this, is someone, lol. I didn't care about him until I found out that he's very close to Eunhyuk. Donghae seems nice and sweet. He's praising his friend all the time. He has this permanent sad face, lol. Good voice, nice person.

Heechul

He's very first member I ever remember from Super Junior, back in the day I recognize no one but him. He's pretty, but the more I pay attention to him, IDK I just can't get into him. His dancing was bad and looks half-assed, he constantly has to be put in the back row in fast dancing scenes for MVs, just so he doesn't ruin the perfect harmony. Also, I bet he thinks he is so cute he does annoying poses like touching his lips repeatedly in MVs. His status in SuJu is now inactive as he is serving for the military.

Interchangeable fat guys
Okay just kidding, they're Shindong and Kangin.

Kangin just finished his military service. Shindong has good voice and dance moves. He also directed Eunhyuk and Donghae's single 'Oppa has Risen', it was cute.

Siwon

I don't like him. Also, he looks so old for one of the youngest members in the group.

Leeteuk

He's articulate and good in handling interviews.

Yesung

He's cute.

Kibum

He's cute, why is he inactive??

Han Geng
His contract is terminated, I suppose? But he's Chinese, so his membership doesn't count anyway therefore no photo!

God these posts are taking forever but I always insist on making one... Will continue tomorrow with more things to share!
