The story of how I failed my weekend, again
I'm starting to believe that the universe is blocking me to get back to my fandoms (;___;). Last Friday I was like 'YASS WEEKEND FIANLLY. I AM GOING NOWHERE BUT BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THE BED AND THE COMPUTER DESK.'

BUT! When I got home Friday night I found my translating job test arrived, it has to be done til Tuesday. Also my mom said one of my hundreds of cousins caught the dengue fever and is in the hospital near to where we live and I have to visit her. Of course. ... I believe I haven't seen this cousin of mine in more than five years. Oh also, grocery shopping and ATM stop and taking my sister to the pharmacy because she has a problem with her wrist(?). Oh also, sleep and other distractions.

And the worse of it all : I still feel uncomfortable using my new laptop for any graphics work because of the colors shown in the monitor. The graphics card is different, the monitor setting is different with my desktop. I don't want to make things there and then later on find out that everything looks like shit because of monitor differences. So there I was using my desktop again after a long affair with my new laptop. Guess what happened. It broke. More specifically the keyboard broke. It's not completely broke down, just needed a change of batteries at first, but then I have no batteries left and I had to charge rechargeable batteries for 8 hours. The next day, I put the batteries in and when I turned the keyboard on, it started giving me blinking error like I was constantly pushing the mute button when the fact is, I almost never use it and it's far from the key that I was using. Also, I can't press enter.

I looked at my keyboard and realized how dirty it is so I tried to clean it up in the hope that it'll get better after. But alas, it did not. I still giving me blinking error and the number of keys I couldn't press is increasing. Mainly enter and every keys around it on the right side of the keyboard, letter m included. I cleaned it up again which took me forever but it still did not fix itself (I think I only made it worse). The only solution would be, I have to use another keyboard. Which I do not have.

I gave up dealing with my computer after 7 drafts of tjrpics banner and moved back to work on my translation. There are three different mangas for the test, I'm not familiar with any of them. Up until now, I only got one done from top to bottom with several hard parts skipped. God, I don't even know how I will deal with all this. In the middle of working on that, I remembered that I promised myself that I will participate in roughandtumblr's current challenge which going to end that day. I remembered how happy I was when I got accepted there, now I have to show everyone that I am serious about joining the comm and the challenges. And I do have ideas for the challenge! I just couldn't give up without trying. I went back to my desktop but it really, really frustrated me. So I worked on the base on my laptop, and did the later adjustment on my desktop.

I got inspired in the middle of working on it that I did not sleep until half to four last night. Despite the fact that it was done in about 2 hours with lack of sleep and the stupidity of my desktop, I do think that I did a decent job.

Weirdly, running on 2 hours sleep made me uncontrollably hyper at work today. I'm not sure if it's a good thing. And I will most likely repeat this cycle tomorrow when I have to submit my test papers before catching a flight to Biak later in the evening.
